Whether you're travelling from or to Hampton Court, this trip encompasses scenery from suburban London to the rural home counties.
Departing at 09.15 from Runnymede, home to King John's Magna Carta, the boat passes through the town of Staines - the ancient start of the tidal Thames before the locks were built.
Chertsey Lock is next on this trip, passing through Coway Sale where Julius Caesar forded the river and on to Shepperton. The boat then passes through Sunbury Lock which has a unique second barge lock adjacent to it still in operation.
On approaching Hampton Court, you will pass some lovely house boats, some formerly owned by stars such as Diana Dors. You are then afforded superb views of Hampton Court Palace.
This relaxing cruise is perfect for any group wishing to visit the palace and perhaps puzzle out the famous maze before taking a tranquil cruise back to the Runnymede Boathouse where coaches are able to pick up groups easily.
